Wooden violin cases by Negri Cases

Negri Cases makes wooden violin cases with fabric covers for everyday use: the Firenze ($580), designed for students; the Venezia ($850), with a Cordura 500 cover and a shoulder rest compartment; and the oblong Milano ($1,400), with the most storage in the collection. Wood protects naturally against knocks and temperature changes. All three have the Negri three-point suspension, four bow holders and backpack straps.

Why choose a wooden violin case?

Wood protects naturally against knocks and sudden temperature changes, has a classic look and can be covered in fabric or leather. Wooden cases are a little heavier (2.6–2.85 kg) than carbon fiber cases.

Which violin sizes do Negri cases fit?

Negri violin cases are made for full-size 4/4 violins and follow the measurements of Stradivari models. There are no cases for fractional sizes (3/4, 1/2, 1/4). If your violin has unusual dimensions, send the measurements to info@negricases.com and the team will confirm the fit before you buy.

What is the Negri three-point suspension?

The violin rests on three padded supports – the neck heel, the lower bout and the end of the body – and is held above the shell, so its back, top and edges never touch it. Knocks are absorbed by the shell before they reach the instrument.
