The Quantum collection

Quantum is the Negri Cases line of hard-shell violin cases in thermoformed ABS with an aluminium-reinforced lid, combination locks, padded backpack straps and a leather side handle. It comes in two shapes, Triangular (1.9 kg) and Oblong (2.0 kg), both holding four bows, in five glossy colours: Golden Sand, Imperial Red, Onyx Black, Radiant Ivory and Stone Grey. Price: $690 in the US store.

Is ABS a good material for a violin case?

Yes. ABS is a rigid, weather-resistant technical plastic; in the Quantum it is reinforced with aluminium in the lid. It is a practical, affordable choice for students and daily use.

Which violin sizes do Negri cases fit?

Negri violin cases are made for full-size 4/4 violins and follow the measurements of Stradivari models. There are no cases for fractional sizes (3/4, 1/2, 1/4). If your violin has unusual dimensions, send the measurements to info@negricases.com and the team will confirm the fit before you buy.

Triangular or oblong: which shape should I choose?

A triangular case follows the shape of the violin: it is more compact and lighter and usually holds two bows. An oblong (rectangular) case has more room inside: usually four bow holders, a larger accessory pocket and often a music compartment.

What are the shipping and payment conditions?

Shipping within the United States is free and US store prices include import duties. You can pay by card or PayPal; returns are accepted within 14 days, in perfect condition and in the original packaging.
